Cooling system for Date Farm irrigation

Project Overview:

This project involved the design and implementation of a high-efficiency water-cooling system dedicated to enhancing irrigation quality for an extensive date farm facility. The primary objective was to reduce the temperature of the irrigation water—critical for maintaining soil health, improving crop resilience, and supporting optimal farm productivity in Fujairah’s hot climate.

System Details:

To meet the client’s operational demand and ensure continuous reliability, the system is equipped with:

4 Air-Cooled Water Chillers:
Each chiller provides 120 Kw of cooling capacity engineered to operate efficiently under high ambient temperatures.

Central Irrigation Water Tank:

400,000-litre storage capacity with daily consumption rangeing from 150,000 to 200,000 litres

Temperature Performance

Initial water temperature: 40°CTarget cooled water temperature: 18°CAchieved through a carefully designed chiller-to-tank integration system

 

This configuration ensures a stable, cooled water supply to the farm’s irrigation network, contributing to healthier growth and improved yield quality.

Scope of Work:

Our team delivered a complete turnkey solution that included:

* Engineering Design & System Sizing
* Supply of All Equipment and Materials
* Installation of Chillers, Piping, Pumps, and Controls
* Electrical Works:(power distribution, control panels, cabling)
* Civil Works: (foundations, equipment supports, tank connections)
* Testing & Commissioning: of the full cooling system
* Performance Verification: to ensure compliance with client requirements

Project Outcome:

The project was completed successfully and handed over to the Crown Prince Palace. The new cooling system now delivers consistent, energy-efficient, and precise water temperature control for the irrigation network, providing improved agricultural performance and long-term reliability.
